2021 Hyundai Kona: What's New?

Nothing major changes across model years for the latest Kona, which only recently made its debut in the new Hyundai lineup. One new addition you'll want to consider, primarily for style and design, is the now-available Night Edition, which is tacked onto the mid-range trim with a turbocharged setup, adding on blacked-out elements on the car's wheels, trimming and accents.

Performance and Capabilities

You'll have a couple four-cylinders to choose from for your new 2021 Hyundai Kona's powertrain. Most versions use the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder, producing 147 horsepower with 132 pound-feet of torque, all while earning up to 33 mpg on the highway. For more power, and still relatively strong efficiency levels, the new Kona offers a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder, which delivers 175 horsepower with 195 pound-feet of torque. An all-wheel drive system is available and we encourage you to consider that option for safe wintertime driving in the Pocatello area.

Technology and Safety

The new Kona starts you off with a generous assortment of standard tech features, including a touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system and smartphone integration. The higher trims available here in Twin Falls will add more tech like HD and satellite radio, wireless mobile device charging and upgraded audio equipment. You'll also get a few standard safety features like forward collision and lane departure mitigation systems, while higher trims will add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and more.
